Karen Wilson – 5QF

It’ s time to learn a little more about the people here at Thill Logistics. The idea is based on the websiteFormspring and the classic Bernard Pivot questionnaire, just imagine that I am holding my blue index cards and asking the questions in a soothing James Liptonesque tone. The format is simple, five questions. The first 4 will stay constant, (3 work related questions and 1 from Pivot) but the 5th question… that is up to you! Please comment and send in questions here on the Thill Blog, or send them to me via Formspring to carrieatthill.

Here are my five questions for Karen Wilson

What is your role at Thill Logistics? I am in client services out of our Laguna Hills, CA facility. My role is to be the liaison between Thill Logistics and our clients.

How did you get into your field? I have been in marketing since graduating college. I started in general advertising working in Los Angeles for large advertising agencies like BBDO, DDB Needham Worldwide and Wells Rich Green on accounts such as Universal Pictures, MGM/United Artist, Pioneer Electronics, Hilton Hotels, and VW/Audi. I then went into magazine sales and marketing when moving to Orange County working at OC Parenting and transitioned to Thill Logistics from there.

What is your favorite thing about your field? I love my clients and I love working towards the same goal of making each and every one of them potential millionaires with creative marketing. Our backend analysis and reporting are the best marketing tools our clients have making us a very important partner in their world.

(Bernard Pivot) What is your favorite word? Phenomenal and Plethora are two great words

(Formspring) Do you usually plan things out or just go with the flow? I do both. I need to plan since both my children are involved in numerous sports. My son plays basketball, baseball and football and my daughter plays soccer, softball and basketball so I need to plan, but I love spontaneity in life. Those are usually the best of times.
